Blog about a web 2.0 award winner

Under the health link there is www.medstory.com with information from Medlineplus and the nih. This would be good to use for patrons that come from the doctor's office looking for more information about a certain ailment.

Google docs or Zoho

Google docs or zoho could be used after staff meetings and have the person taking notes type in the meeting notes and then everyone could go back in and add anything that is missing and sign their name that they have read the meeting notes.

Also google docs could be used for projects for youth services that requires input from each youth service librarian.

Blogging about it

This is an interesting way to find out about other staff and what is important to them. The tasks are not difficult but can be challenging at times. It has been sort of difficult to find the time in between other duties to keep up with each week's assignment for me. Teamwork has aslo helped me with the assignments and I am grateful to my co-workers for helping out here and there. Thanks!

Sandbox

I went into the sandbox and added the term Dark Chocolate under favorite foods.

Wikis

Library Success: A Best Practices Wiki is useful to share ideas all in one place and the information is all organized by topic. There was nothing that I disliked about the wiki.

Library 2. and Web 2.0

With Library 2.0, library services are frequently evaluated and updated to meet the changing needs of library users. Library 2.0 also calls for libraries to encourage user participation and feedback in the development and maintaining of library services.

Technorati

Searching learning 2.0 brought up some interesting information on Technorati.Technorati is an Internet search engine for searching blogs, competing with Google & Yahoo. Education is lifelong and as the technical world advances it is important for those in the field to keep up with the advancements and changes that occur on the web.

Del.icio.us is a way for other people to view what you have tagged and saved.
I signed up and added the del.icio.us icons and found out that you don't need to do that.

World Cat

World Cat is an excellent database filled with information. Some of the positive things about the World Cat is that it can show you the library location of a specific title.

NetLibrary

Netlibrary is easy to use and filled with a lot of ebooks. After signing up and looking through an ebook, I feel that I could share this information with a patron.
